Sharon D. Dean, 55, departed her earthly life on December 31, 2015. She was born February 1, 1960 in Rome, Georgia to her parents, Fannie Gibson and Walter Foster. On April 3, 1975 she moved with her family from Rome, Georgia to Akron, Ohio; where she attended Akron Public Schools. Sharon worked as a healthcare aide for many years. Sharon was a devoted daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend to whomever she made contact. She was a member of New Mission Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by stepfather, Bobby Lee Gibson; and grandparents, Henry Dean and Pearl Harbour. Sharon Dean will be remembered for the kindness, love and generosity she shown to her family. She was a dependable daughter; to her mother, a sincere sister; to her three sisters and an adorable auntie; to her nieces and great-nieces. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Fannie Faye Gibson; sisters; Kathy Gibson, Edna Gibson and Angel Askew (Irvin Lee) all of Akron, Ohio. Her continuous and caring companion, Lawrence "Bud" James; nieces, Kaneca, LaTasha, Candice, Chantel and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Home going service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 12p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will greet friends from 11a.m. until time of service, Rev Robert H. Aaron Jr., eulogizing. Interment will be at Mount Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences can be sent to 406 Cole Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Repast will be held at New Mission Missionary Baptist Church 150 Wayne Ave. Akron, Ohio 44301.
