Sandra Anita Williams, 69, passed away on Sunday July 16, 2023, with family and friends by her bedside at Summa Hospice.
She was born in Akron, OH to the late Cleopatra Williams-Miller-Hill and Robert Boyer Sr. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1973 and attended The University of Akron where she majored in Nursing. She later attended Hammel Business School.
Sandra enjoyed singing in the school choir, at church, weddings and all other special occasions. She also enjoyed cooking & home decorating for family and friends.
She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.L. Dykes and joined the Junior Choir under the late Shirley Finney and Junior Usher Board. In addition to her many hobbies, her favorite activities were bingo, going to the casino, the racetracks, reading the Bible, discussing The Lord with family and friends as well as babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with her late brother James Williams Jr.
Sandra retired from Brecksville Veteran Hospital, however, she also worked at Model City, Pauletta's Boutique, AT&T, Polsky, O'Neil's, Hoover and St. Thomas Hospital.
She is proceeded in death by her grandparents; James Williams, Sr. and Labinus Williams, sister; Carol Ann Miller, aunt; Helen M. Atkins, uncles; Timothy K. Williams, James Williams Jr. and nephew; Jacob Williams.
Sandra leaves to mourn her life, best friend; Reginald Anthony, daughters; Traci (Bernard) Eaton, LaKisa Zanders, son; Gamaliel K. (Catrice) Williams, sister; Paulette (Eddie) Bowen, brothers; Lloyd (Cheryl) Williams, Van (Regina) Williams, aunts; Elizabeth Caldwell and Debbie Williams, grandchildren; Devon (Cesily) Pleasant, Latria (David) Williams, D'Juan Pleasant, Gregory Ballard, Kara Ballard, Gamaliel Williams Jr., Gylan Williams, great-grandchildren; Devon Pleasant II, Aaliyah and Aaron Pleasant, DeShawn Grays and Nahdya Thomas, neices; Crystal (Raymond) Carter, Detria Giddings, Dionne Dennison, Nicole Williams, nephews; Brandon Williams, Lloyd Jr., Alexander Williams, T. Cedric (Debbie) Williams, Xavier (Alexis) Hinson. Phillip (Angelina) Heard, Eddie Bowen Jr., Isaiah and Ravyn Carter, James W. Williams III; special friends; Carolyn Clay, Anthony Hester, Jenny Blackmon, Lulu Banks and Abigail Smith.
