Samuel W. Hampton, age 91, passed away November 22, 2016. He was born in Shortcreek, Wheeling, West Virginia, on June 7, 1925 to the late Samuel and Lucille Brown Hampton. Samuel was a retired employee of the City of Canton, a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and a Canton ICUA usher for 40 plus years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (3) brothers; (1) sister, Mary Moore; daughter, Vernessa Hayes; aunt, Mary Savage.  Samuel is survived by his loving wife Alice Hampton; daughter, Gayla Hampton; step daughters, Lolita Givens, Roberta (Jay) Branch Thomas; grandchildren, Toya (Jamie) Sanders; Chanel Branch, Eric Branch, Demetres Givens, Miracle Givens, Deja Givens; nephew, James Moore, Jr.; niece, Rev. Phyllis Agnew. Samuel will be deeply missed.
