Samuel Baynes-Phinnessee, 69, departed this life of August 21, 2021.  He was born in Akron, Ohio and has been a lifetime resident of the community.

He graduated from Howe Vocational School in 1971.  He worked at Krispy Kreme and from there he started to work at Manning Club for 42 years, until his retirement.  He served in the U. S. Marine Corp. and received an honorable discharge.  He loved to play pool and was good at it.  He was a member of Wooster Temple Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Phinnessee; parents, James and Sarah E. Phinnessee; sisters, Renee and Lillian Phinnessee; and brother James T. Phinnessee, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory brother, Aaron Phinnessee (Teresa); sister, Belinda Phinnessee-Thomas; longtime companion, Renee Dudley; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
