Ruth Pearlnette Stokes, departed this life to join the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, 28 October 2016 at the age of 66. Ruth was born 4 April 1950, in Canton Ohio and later moving to Massillon Ohio. She is preceded in death by her son, Drake A. Stokes; parents, Rose and Robert Stokes. Ruth will be dearly missed as a devoted mother; grandmother of seven children and great-grandmother of eleven children. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed laughing, cherishing time with her children and friends. She enjoyed helping others in need, contributing to the Wounded Warriors Project and charitable organizations; she enjoyed sewing and conversed with the Lord daily thru prayer. She is survived by her daughter, Brigette R. Thomas (Stokes) of Massillon, Ohio and son, Le Roy J. Stokes of Huntsville, Alabama. Ruth was the second oldest of seven siblings consisting of two brothers and four sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories a host of family and friends.
