Obituary

Rufus Jackson passed away April 17, 2020.  He was born October 30, 1926 in Forkland, Alabama to the late Cato and Laura (Redrick) Jackson.  He served inWorld War II.  Rufus loved sports but baseball (Cleveland Indians) was his favorite. He worked at Republic Steel for over 40 years.  Rufus loved and was married for 60 years to the late Mary Lena Summers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Johnson "Joe" Jackson, Joseph Hill, and John Henry Lawson; sisters, Lucrecia Jackson; sisters-in-law, Anna Wall, Roberta Summers; brothers-in-laws, Robert Dr. David, Brady Summers, Bruce Fletcher, and James Fletcher.

Rufus leaves to cherish his loving memories his sister Ovetta Armstead of Forkland, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Irene Hill of Detroit, Michigan, Dorothy Jackson of Canton, Ohio, Carolyn Grimes of Canton, Ohio, and Delores Cobb of Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law, CMS Williams Summers (Delores) of Midwest City, Oklahoma, John Summers of Washington, Virginia, and Daniel (Elizabeth) Summers
