Ruby Williams went home to be with The Lord on July 19, 2023.  She is proceeded in death by her parents; Naomi and Sterling Williams Sr. and special aunt; Lee Salzman. She was born on December 27, 1943, in Memphis, TN and spent her early childhood in Gould AR, relocating to Akron, OH in 1951.  Ruby graduated from South High School and attended Akron University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Technical   Education and later went on to obtain her master's degree in education from Kent State University where she also worked for a majority of here professional career.

In 1973, she married the love of her life, Donald F. Williams Sr. and this union created a blended family where love was abundant.

For those who knew Ruby, she was a wonderful woman with a strong work ethic but had the ability to   perfectly balance work life and home life.  She was a devoted Christian who believed in serving The Lord with gladness and delight.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a Deaconess under the leadership of Rev. Upshaw and Rev. Harrison until her health declined.  She enjoyed traveling, creating flower arrangements.  Sewing/quilting, gardening and was an exceptional cook.  She was a provider, protector and comforter with a heart of gold.

Ruby leave to cherish her memory, husband, Donald F.  Williams Sr., sons; Johnny and Donald Jr., daughter; Anne, brothers; Joe (Jeanette), Sterling Jr., Clint, Sylvester (Betty), sister; Geraldine (Mike), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
