Roslyn M. Woodall was born on July 21,1961 in Akron, Ohio. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to many passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at the age of 65 in Cleveland, Oh. Roslyn was the cherished daughter of Evelyn Smith. Roslyn attended Mount Zion Baptist church. She grew up in Akron, Ohio and she made a loving home in the City of Akron for her children and grandchildren.

Roslyn was known for her boldness, kindness, strength, humor, generosity, faith, creativity, love for her people and the city she lived in. She found joy in cooking for the Akron Police officers, serving her community through volunteer work, spending time with her friends, laughing, cooking and partying. Roslyn’s greatest happiness came from time spent with her family. As a mother, she gave endless love, guidance, and support. As a grandmother, she created treasured memories through family dinners, stories, holidays, at home activities, trips to the GGs, and her many adopted pets plus bonus kids.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Woodall, Michael Woodall, Maria Woodall, Jamille Woodall, and Rosalita Woodall; goddaughter, Leticia Young; siblings, Rufus Woodall, Deborah Woodall, Pamela Woodall-Cain also a host of many grandchildren (36) and great grandchildren (24) many other family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Lisa Woodall and Richelle Woodall; sons, Reggie Woodall and Brian Woodall; grandchildren, Deontae Woodall, Dasha Jacobs, Dierre and Jermaine Woodall; sister, Gwen Hoisten; brother, Kenny Woodall; favorite cousins, Anita Lewis and Retha Hargrove; aunts, Betty Lewis and Stella Hoisten; cousins, Terry Lewis and Mark Lewis; grandmother, Mattie (Jimmie) Ellms, and many other angels in the sky.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for being “the life of the party and the warmth she brought to every room and the love she gave so freely.”
