Rose Marie Greenwood, 87, Of Akron, Oh departed this life Friday, March 25, 2022. She was born May 22, 1934 to the late Ulysses S. and Annie L. Hammonds.

She worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years retiring after life changing illness. Rose leaves to mourn her passing children, Annette (Earnest) Bush, Caren Greenwood-Calloway (Billy), Glenn (Marcia) Greenwood and Marc (Deborah) Al; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Dr. William C. (Delores) Hammonds and James E. Hammonds both of Las Vegas Nevada; sister-in-law's Annette Grimes-Hammonds of Akron, Ohio, Ramona Hammonds of Detroit, Michigan, and Amelia Hammonds of Los Angeles, California; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ulysses S. and Annie L. Hammonds; sister Mary Louise Brown; and brothers Dr. Robinson R. Hammonds, Samuel I. Hammonds, and Henry M. Hammonds.
