Rosa L. Parker's Obituary

Rosa L. Parker, a longtime member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio, and a devout Christian mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and friend, passed away Sept. 26, 2024, at the age of 96. Rosa was born in 1928 in Albany, Georgia, to Julius and Ivory Mae King. She graduated from Madison High School there and later Lewis Business College in Detroit. She became a member of Shiloh in 1950, where she was active for 73 years. She married Bishop C. Parker in 1952 in Canton and had her daughter, Cynthia, in 1955. Rosa worked for The Hoover Co., from where she retired after 25 years. Rosa is survived by her daughter, grandson Jamal Parker, great-grandson, JuJu Parker, godchildren Valerie Enlow and Jonathan Byrd, as well as family and friends. The family of Rosa Parker would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Steve Nam and his team with Advantage Hospice Co. and to everyone for your prayers, calls, messages and all acts of kindness throughout this difficult time.
