Roosevelt Moore Jr. departed this life April 27, 2023. He was born on February 14, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, the eldest of 8 siblings born to his parents Roosevelt Moore Sr. and Mildred Moore.
As a child, Roosevelt and his family moved to Ohio where Roosevelt became a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. He attended East High School and joined the United States Army in 1969. In the early 90's, Roosevelt became a brother of Islam and began following the Muslim Religion. He was very well known throughout the community and could make a friend everywhere he went. Roosevelt loved dancing, singing, playing cards and being with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Roosevelt Moore Sr., mother Mildred Moore, siblings Mary Moore, Rosemarie Moore, Anthony Moore, Dean Moore and Dale Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory son; Roosevelt Deshawn Moore, sister; Emma West, brother; Cleveland Moore (Venessa), sister-in-law's; Karen Moore and Angela Moore, close cousins; Minnie and Howard Winnick close friends; Aleazer Sanders, Terry Robinson, Don Tribble, Alex Bollinger, Rusty Horton and Rodney Lindsey, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. Mask are required to attend all services.
