Ronald L. Gillespie, Sr. was born September 3, 1954 to the late Percy V. Sr. and Josephine Gillespie.
Ronald L. Gillespie affectionately known as "Skeet" was employed with Canton Health Care for over 35 years.
Skeet was a city champion for the Mighty Mite Climalene Phillies, where he was home run leader in the league. Later in years he continued his baseball passion in the Canton Slow Pitch Softball League with "The Golden Pheasant" Team. He also enjoyed his passion for fishing with his big sister Evelyn.
In addition to his parents Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents; aunt, Julia Simmons; nephews, Manuel Gillespie, Brandon Gillespie; niece, Angelia Goodman; brother, Carlos Walker; cousins, Sandra DeGraffinried, Travinna Simmons, Andre Hailey; mother-in-law, Katherine Stokes-Thomas; brother-in-law, Charles "Papoose" Stokes.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife Denise M. Stokes-Gillespie; sons, Ronald Gillespie Jr. and Montezes Stokes Sr.; siblings, Evelyn L. Gillespie, Percy V. (Diane) Gillespie Jr., Derrick Walker, Kim Walker, Michelle Ladson, Shalita Ladson and Kevin (Brittony) Bonner; uncle, Darnell "Flukie" Gillespie; Doretha (Elder Ace) Gillems Sr.; sisters-in-law, Roseann Stokes, Rhoda Cobbs and Elizabeth Woodall; (14) grandchildren; (1) great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
