Artist and retired licensed practical nurse, Roma Ray Threatt touched so many lives during her time here on earth. Her loving and selfless devotion to her family and friends will be remembered long after her passing.

Roma Ray Threatt went home to be in the arms of the Lord on July 18, 2022. Roma was born July 9, 1947, to Jimmie Ray and Poly Murphy Ray. Roma graduated from Akron Public Schools, then she went on to The Akron School of Practical Nursing. After receiving her nursing degree Roma began working at Akron Childrens Hospital, and after many years of dedicated service she eventually retired from Akron General Medical Center. She was also an amazing artist, her creative outlets included many different arts and crafts, as well as an extensive talent for painting and drawing. Roma also loved fishing, bingo and watching countless movies of all sorts while relaxing at home with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roma was a hard-working wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and cousin and will forever be missed loved and appreciated by everyone whose life she touched.

Roma was preceded in death by her father Jimmie Ray, mother Poly Murphy, sister, Elizabeth Ray Love, brothers, Luther, Willie, Bobby, Johnnie Ray and Lewis Love

She leaves to cherish her precious memory sisters, Dolores Parker, Valerie Bozeman, daughters, Lateca Young, LaShawnda Young, grandchildren, Lateia Young, Shabri Owens, Lakeia Young, Malik Young, Shalik Young, Demetrious Bishop, niece, Leticia Young Colley and lifelong friend Pearl Harris, as well as 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces' nephews and friends.
