On October 23 rd , 2023, Robin D. Edwards Sr., passed away at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on September 6 th , 1959, to the late Ernest E. and Evelyn J. (Peterson) Edwards. He graduated from Massillon Washington High School and later joined the United States Army, where he served from 1977-1979. Robin was known to be a jack of many trades, but his specialty was cooking, and will be forever remembered for his lasagna, and if you know, you know.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Ernest E. and Evelyn J. (Peterson) Edwards and his aunt and uncle Ersie M. (Peterson) and Perry Murray Sr.

He is survived by his brothers Darius E. (Terri) Edwards, Dane T. (Linda) Edwards, of California; daughter Marshae M. (Edwards) Watkins; sons, Robin D. Edwards II (Robbie), and Ernest J. Edwards (Ernie); granddaughters, Maeshon M. Watkins, Kyra M. Watkins, Areya S. Watkins, and Nasine L. Watkins all of Canton, Ohio; and a host of cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

Robin was an avid fan of Massillon Tiger Football, the Cleveland Browns, and Nascar Racing. Even during his illness his love of the Massillon Tigers continued; physically he could not attend the games, but he still followed them during their season, and everyone who knew him knows that he was all about those Tigers! He will be deeply missed by all, especially his infectious smile.
