Waters, Jr.
June 5, 1949 – September 22, 2022
Robert Lee Waters Jr., age 73, came into this world on June 5, 1949, in Vero Beach, Florida to Robert Lee, Sr. and Hattie Waters. He was affectionately called "June" by his loved ones. He made his triumphant transition to heaven on September 22, 2022, at his home,surrounded by his family and is preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Ann Waters (Sister), Thomas Lee Waters (Brother) and an infant brother.
After graduating from Canton McKinley, Robert began a new journey. In 1971 he joined the United States Army where he served for 3 yearsas a Airborn Ranger. He fulfilling his duties,before receiving an honorable discharge;leading to him being recognized today as one of our own United States Veterans.
Shortly after, Robert began his career in the workforce. For those of us who knew him, he had a work ethic that will forever be unmatched. From the start of this chapter of his life to his last days at Timken Steel there was no question that he did what he loved to do, which was work.
A member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Robert anchored a strong relationship with the Lord and studied his bible faithfully. He was very active in the church and loved nothing more than spending time at Bible Study and Sunday School. He served as a faithful member until his passing.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Kim Waters, his two loving daughters Tiffany Roberts of Stone Mountain, GA. and Crystal Waters of Canton, OH., two sons Joe Harris and Austin Bell of Akron, OH., eight sisters Rosa McNair, Waliyahwajidah Quadir, Lorene Malone, Kathleen Thompson, Carrie Waters, Carol (Willie C.) Hunter, Betty Jean Waters and Rosaline (Nathaniel) Stoudmire of Massillon, OH., two brothers Ronnie Lee Waters of Columbus, OH and Matthew Waters of Carrollton, GA., three grandchildren Ryan Mykel, Charisma Jeanae Stevens, and Mariah Elizabeth Roberts and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
