July 23, 1935 – June 5, 2016
Robert Henry Harris, (Popcorn) age 80, he was born July 23, 1935 in Gay Georgia, to the late Eugene and Mattie Lou Harris. He transitioned from this life, to be with the Lord, June 5, 2016. He was seventh of fourteen children. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personel savior. He attended Canton City School Systems. He was employed by Republic Steel and B & S Transport, which was owned by his nephew. He loved his family dearly and was always there for them. He had a great sense of humor, along with an entertaining spirit. He touched many lives from all walks of life. There are many stories to be told pertaining to him, with moments of great laughter. One thing we can certainly say he will be missed, but, never forgotten. Proverbs 4:20 – 23 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. He was proceeded in death by, his parents, Eugene and Mattie Lou Harris, and his wife Hazel Harris, grandsons, William Varner III, and Eugene Harris. Siblings, Mattie Johnson, Willie Roy, Willie Gene, Bennie Major and Danny Harris. He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Betty Jo Nash, of Canton, Ohio Mark Harris and Tonya McClain (Kristopher) Columbus, Ohio Eugene Harris of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Damian Williams of Canton, Ohio. Siblings, Emma Lou Anthony, of Atlanta, Georgia Bessie Osteen, Lorena Bryant, Marvin Harris, Geraldine Lee, of Canton, Ohio and Terrie Shepperd or Akron, Ohio. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives. Special Friend Bridgett Shipp and family, special nephews, Timothy Bryant and Scott Harris. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
