Robert Lee Donald age 80, made his transition from his earthy home to his heavenly home on Saturday July 26, 2014.  He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on September 27, 1933, to the late Elaias and Clara Robertson Donald. He retired from The Timken Company in 1992 following 35 years of employment. he was a member of People's Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He enjoyed gospel music and spending time with friends and family especially his grandchildren. he was known for his compassion toward others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clark, Marshall Lee, William and Lee Andrew.  He is survived by two daughters Maurica (Billy) of Canton, Shavonda (Craig) of Avondale, Arizona, one son Gregory(Carol) of Canton; grandchildren Ramon, Brandon, Ashley, Rasha and Jamal; one sister Loretta McClothan of Canton, one brother Joe Donald of Lubbock, Texas; God-son David George of Canton, a special nephew Shane Billingsley of Cleveland, Ohio; special friends Larry Cheeks, Perry Miles, J.W. Slay, and Ida Wess, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday at 12:00 at the Peoples Baptist Church with Pastor Walter Arrington Jr.Officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11am - noon on Friday at the church.
