Robert C. Johnson, peacefully stepped into eternity on August 29, 2026. Born on March 27,

1953, in Philadelphia, PA to the union of Robert L. & Barbara Johnson. Robert was a man of

strength and very god-fearing. Robert loved to sing God’s praises and would testify all the time

to anyone about the goodness of God….HE NEVER MET A STRANGER!

In 1970, Robert served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of the military,

Robert had a wide array of various occupations in his lifetime, such as: light industrial

production, forklift operation, auto mechanic assistant, and food preparation.

Robert was baptized at an early age in Philadelphia, PA. Robert and his wife Carol have been

devoted members of Mt. Zion Church of God In Christ for 19 years. They both enjoyed cooking

and serving the Youth on Saturdays. Robert’s utmost passions were drawing portraits

free-handed, attending WWE events live with his family, watching his favorite hometown football

team “The Philadelphia Eagles,” on television, and baking his most famous delicious sweet

potato pies amongst other specialty cuisines.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. & Barbara Johnson; brother, Stanley

Johnson; son, Carlton Johnson; daughter, Timkeo Bryant.

Robert is survived by his lovely wife of 15 plus years, Carol Johnson; sons, Alex Johnson;

Jonathon Douglas; Harry Harris, Anitaun Harris, Riccardo Harris, All of Canton, OH; daughters,

Nicole Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; Lisa Harris, and Doran Bryant, both of Canton, OH.

Robert is fondly remembered by his siblings Dolores Miles AKA Teenie, and Martha Moore AKA

Mott, both of Philadelphia, PA. Robert’s Spiritual sister, Dorothea Armstead, of Canton, OH,

whom she totally confided in him for guidance from a spiritual perspective....their bond was

unbreakable. Also, his special sister-in-law, Angela Jones of Canton, OH, which he adored and

loved unconditionally. Next, his best friend, Dwayne (Deborah) Green of Massillon, OH, whom

he values his genuine friendship and extraordinary love. Finally, his two Godsons, Micah

Armstead and KeVondre’ Walker. Upon their father’s passing, they both gravitated to him as a

father-figure. They will definitely miss all of the advice he gave them from a male perspective.

Furthermore, his legacy is emboldened by the love and admiration of his 6 grandchildren, 2

bonus grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, additional kindred and friends.
