ROBERT A. BOARD was born in Akron, Ohio on October 7, 1953 to Albert N. Board and Gertude Mae Chapman.

Robert grew up and lived his life in Barberton, Ohio with his family until he enlisted in the Army where he served his country until he received his honorable discharge. Once discharge he enjoyed traveling and enjoying life to the fullest. Robert was always there if someone needed him and always ready to lend a helping hand, doing gardening, cooking dinners, cleaning carpets/houses for anyone who asked. Robert also enjoyed attending various churches and reading his bible everyday along with prayer. Although he enjoyed cooking; his specialty was baking a world-famous coconut cake.

Family who has preceded him in death are: Grandparents, Joe/Beulah Chapman, Father, Albert Board, Mother, Gertrude Mae Askew, Stepfather, James Askew, Aunts, Bobbie N. Chapman and Mildred Grayson, Brothers, Albert Board, Ronald Board, Gary Board, Willie Bryant, Larry Askew, Cecil Askew; and sister, Annie Askew.

He leaves to cherish his memory his only child/son, DuJuane U. Mitchell, the love of his life, Diane E. Howard Stepchildren, Dunel Howard, Jonathan/Taneija Howard, Nickey Thomas, Sisters, Gwenetta Askew, Nancy Watkins, Linda Neal and Shellie Rhoden; Special Cousin, Anthony Board and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives.
