On April 15, 2013, Rick C. Hooten departed this life at age 65, after a brief illness.  He was born November 24, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to Betty and Cero Hooten.  Rick retired from Timken after 34 years.  He was also a Mason for over 20 years with Simpsons Lodge #1.  Rick graduated from McKinley high school in 1964.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents,  and father.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rita L. (Waters) Hooten of the home; his mother, Betty J. Hooten; son, Andre Hooten; daughter, Stephanie (Dartanion) Crider of Massillon, OH; three grandchildren, D'Andre Lautenslager of Massillon, OH, Ashlee Lautenslager and Bretannie Crider of Canton, OH; three stepchildren, Sadrina and RaShawn Evans, Tereres (Terry) Williams all of Canton, OH; ten step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren on the way.  Sadly leaving behind a close friend and sister-in-law, Arlene Williams of Mobile, Alabama and a host of other relatives and friends.
