Richard C.
Jackson, Jr.
February 7, 1961 – March 16, 2026
Richard Cube Jackson Jr., affectionately known as "Pretty Ricky," "Slick Rick," or "Ricky," passed away on March 12, 2026, in Canton, Ohio, at the age of 65.
Richard was born on February 7, 1961, in Canton, Ohio, to Eva Mae Jackson and Richard Cube Jackson Sr. ( presiding in death). He was the youngest and only son among four children, a role that made him especially cherished within his family. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Merial Jenkins (Charles Jenkins), Regina Jackson, and Belinda Jeter (Carl Jeter).
A proud graduate of McKinley High School, Richard was an active and bright student-athlete who participated in both track and basketball, proudly representing the Bulldogs.
Richard was married to his former wife, Elvira "Vicky" White, for 19 years. Together, they made their home in Atlanta, Georgia, where they raised four daughters: Kaela Jackson, Breyana Jackson, Amber Williams (Andrea Williams), and Keturah Jackson. His legacy continues through his children and seven cherished grandchildren: Victoria Mills, Amirah Mills, Alice William, Adam William, Breyah Bailey, Ali William, and Raylan Jackson-Stewart.
Richard was known for his vibrant personality and love of life. He loved to talk, sing, dance, and have a good time, often bringing laughter and energy wherever he went. He never met a stranger. He also valued staying connected and kept in touch with friends near and far throughout his life.
Richard also held a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and all of his family. He always encouraged them to strive for greatness and wanted nothing more than to see them succeed and do great things in their lives.
Richard's spirit, warmth, and joyful presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
