Richard E. D. Johnson "Rickey" passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was born in Akron, Ohio on October 31, 1951 to the late Leonard and Lola B. Johnson. He graduated from the University of Akron with a master's degree in business education in 1985. He was a faithful member of Faith Temple Church of the Living God for over forty years. He served on the usher board, the pastor's aide board, office support staff and youth activity staff. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marchia. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Patricia, Brenda, Gail, Johnson and Linda Mitchell all of Akron; brothers, Leonard Johnson Jr., of San Francisco, CA, and Wilbert Johnson of Akron; aunt, Essie (Herbert) Stevens of Akron; uncle Booker Eddy of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of God children, 17 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews, 12 great-great nieces and nephews, numerous friends, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
