“He came into this world fighting. He left this world fighting.”

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rhion Samuel Stanford, who departed this life

on July 18, 2026, at the age of 20.

Born on June, 12, 2006, Rhion entered this world as a fighter. Born with two holes in his heart,

he underwent open-heart surgery at just three months old. From the very beginning he was

strong, resilient, and truly a force to be reckoned with. He was baptized at a young age and got

his high school diploma in 2025.

Known to many as “K”, Rhion was a talented rapper who loved music, singing, dancing, and

making people laugh. He lived life on his own terms, stayed true to who he was, and never let

the opinion of others define him. He dreamed big, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression

on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though Rhion’s life was cut far too short, his impact was immeasurable. He leaves behind his

loving mother, Kisha (Ptrez) Lenzy; his father, Ivey Stanford; his sisters, Kesia (Danayjah)

Richardson, Aniya Stanford, Makia Standford, Ashley Stanford, Ariana Stanford, Rebecca

Stanford, and Elizabeth Coffman; his brother, Noah Stanford; his beloved niece, Kemia Stanford;

his maternal grandmother, Christine Evans; Uncles Eric Evans, Norman (Margie) Evans, Gerald

Evans, Rahasson (Lakeisha) Davis, Aunt Jennifer McClure; his paternal grandmother, Teresa

Standford; paternal grandpa Ivery Stanford Sr.; paternal great grandpa Thomas (Alice) Hollis Sr.;

paternal uncle Thomas Hollis Jr.; paternal aunts Lola Lilliston; Christa Johnson, Jyshekia Colona,

along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa G. Evans; maternal great grandma Alice L.

Ballard; Maternal great aunt Carolyn K. Ballard, Patrica Ballard, Donna J. Goodman and

maternal great uncle Edward Ballard Jr.; Paternal aunt Vonetta Stanford.

We thank God for the 20 years we were blessed to share with Rhion. His strength, laughter,

music, and love will live on in every heart he touched.
