Reggie L.
Preston
June 7, 1981 – April 23, 2026
Reggie LeAundre “Little Reggie” Preston-Boyer, 44, gained his Heavenly wings on April 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Little Reggie was born June 7, 1981, in Akron, Ohio, to Reggie Boyer and Rosylan Preston.
Reggie loved sports and was a talented athlete. He played basketball, baseball and participated in youth bowling leagues and tournaments. He attended Akron Public Schools and received his diploma in 1999 from Garfield High School.
Reggie enjoyed all kinds of literature and read a variety of books. He never turned down an opportunity for a good debate. He was a true believer in knowledge and what it had to offer him. He studied online stock alternatives and crypto investment options, and became a self-taught financial investor. He also enjoyed buying and selling cars, and doing vehicle restoration.
But what he really treasured was his family and friends. He adored his children, and enjoyed attending family events. He had an infectious laugh, exceptional personality, and had lots of friends. He enjoyed life but embraced its challenges, and never complained.
Reggie was preceded in death by his brother, Darrick Boyer; grandmother, Avie Boyer; stepmother, Anna Vales-Boyer; uncle, Rodney Boyer; and cousin, Anthony Brooks. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Reggie “R.J.” and Regére “Gere” Boyer; his father & stepmother, Reggie and Tracy Boyer; his mother & stepfather, Rosylan Preston-Williams and Ronnie Dinkins; brothers, Garrick and Sammeri Boyer, and Antonio Mitchell; sisters, Alexis, Ashilee and Sammae Boyer, Dominique Mitchell, and Teralisa Walls; grandmother, Thelma Jordan; aunts, Carla Boyer, Stacy (Greg) Jackson, LaTonya Jordan, Stacie (Anthony) Pickett, Kenda Preston, and Rosalyn Thomas; uncles, Kenneth and Kevin Preston; mother of his children, Natasha Ervin; and special friend, Shandah Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Reggie is truly loved and missed
