Raymond West, 78, of Canton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2024, surrounded by family. Raymond was born October 26, 1945, in Beaver Falls, PA, to the late Edward West and Hattie Mae Williams West. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Mae Griswold, Juanita Anderson, and very special niece, Nicole West. Raymond attended Beaver Falls High School and studied at Geneva College. He was a retired railroader. He loved music, especially jazz. Ray was an icon who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Teresa West, of Canton, Ohio; 4 stepchildren, Lamar (Dena) Williams, Sharicka Walker, Patricia Walker (Tourin McCole), and Jennifer Taylor; grandchildren, Noah Walker, Waylan McCole, Christian Williams, Amir Walker, Adrian Stephens, Journey Taylor, and Melinah, all of Canton, Ohio; brothers, Elder Edward (Kim) West, of Beaver Falls, PA, Pastor Charles (Yvette) West, of Denver, CO; 3 brothers-in-law, Edward (Angela) Williams, Winfred Williams-Cleveland and Brian (Andrea) Williams, all of Canton, Ohio; 3 sisters-in-law, Sherill Williams, Deborah Williams and Diana Williams, all of Canton, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
