Raymond Vaughn, Sr., 88, entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2024.
Raymond was born on October 20, 1935, to Jesse and Lillian Vaughn. He was the 7th of 9 children. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Barberton, Ohio and was employed at Babcox & Wilcox retiring after working for 20 plus years. Raymond, affectionally known as "Magoo" loved watching his western TV shows and hanging out with family and friends, wither in the garage or in "his baby" Silverado. Raymond met the love of his life, Janie Ruth Jackson and wed in 1956. To this union 7 children were born.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Janie Ruth in 2020; his parents, Jesse and Lillian Vaughn; his brothers, James, Cloyd, Herbert and Herman Vaughn; sisters, Jesse Lee Cheatham, Marjorie Butler, Nannie Bell Ingol, and Zular Mae Burton; and grandchildren, Amaya James and Dennis Alexander.
He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Raymond (Autumn) Vaughn, Jr., Michael (Susanne) Vaughn, Mark (Shirley) Vaughn, Eric (Terrie) Vaughn and Donte Thompson; daughters, Rachelle (Henry) Vaughn, Julie (Jeff) Woolridge, Jennifer (John L.) McNair and Ashley Thompson; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; special niece, Traci Vaughn-Person; special nephew, Tracey Jackson; special friends, Walter Reed and Sylvester Johnson; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
