Obituary

Raymond Lee Jackson Sr, 84, of Akron, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2022, after a courageous battle with illness. Raymond was born on July 4,1938 in Canton, Ohio to Louis Andrew Jackson and Rose Stokes. He was a graduate of Kent State University and he served in the United States Army. As a Successful Entrepreneur his work afforded him the ability to travel to various states. Raymond enjoyed bowling, grilling, and golfing, he also had ties to the Elks Lodge. He is survived by; Significant Other- Eva Bivins of Akron, Ohio. Children; Maurice (Sandra) Jackson of Canton, OH., Michelle (Thomas) Yarbrough of Cleveland, OH., Darnetta Osborne of Canton, OH., Anita (Shorman) Montero of Akron, OH., Anthony Jackson of Maine. Siblings; Sharon "Cherry"Patterson Faulkner of Massillon, OH, and Richard Patterson of Monroeville, OH. 6 Cherished children; Kim (Jerry) Gill, Steve and Greg Washington, Justin Lofton, Homer (Butch) Bivins, Solomon Petrie. 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, Close friends; Jim and Pat Hicks, Lydia E Spargin, Johnie Watson, and a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones. He was preceded in death by late Judge Saundra Jean House Robinson Jackson, his son Raymond Jackson Jr., parents Rose Hazel Stokes (mother)  and Louis A. (LA) Jackson (father), brothers, Douglas Jackson and Jimmy Patterson, and sisters Gloria Brown and Alvita Patterson.
