In Loving Memory of Randolph James Dyer

Randolph James Dyer, affectionately known as Randy, went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2026, at 11:24 p.m., following a courageous battle with cancer.

Randy was a man of deep faith who loved Jesus Christ and cherished his family, his church family (Christ Connection Church), and the many people God placed in his life.

Randy had a heart for people. He could get along with almost anyone, and to him, no one was ever a stranger. He loved making music, studying the Bible, enjoying life, and experiencing the thrill of flying through the air on roller coasters. His family and church family meant the world to him, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. No task was ever too challenging for Randy.

Randy was a hardworking and determined man. He worked for many years at Patella Carpet and Tile Flooring as a journeyman, where he took great pride in his work, skill, and craftsmanship. His hardworking hands and work clothes told the story of a man who was never afraid to work hard, face a challenge, and get the job done.

One of Randy’s greatest accomplishments was building his own three-story home with his own hands. He never missed a day of work while building it. His determination, strength, and dedication were evident in everything he put his hands to. He was a man who believed in working hard and seeing things through to the end.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Cassandra Dyer; his oldest daughter, Colette Gulley, and her husband, Calanish Gulley; his youngest daughter, Sapria Fortner, and her husband, Anthony Fortner; and his grandchildren, Orlasia and Lanaya Hunter, Meikeilio, Malachi, and Montrell Fortner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marla Dyer, and his older brother, Trent Dyer.

Randy is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sarah Freeman; his siblings, Amy Casline; Christopher Dyer (Noelle); Molly Spisak (Dennis); and Adam Dyer (Shannon); favorite sister in law Carrie Freeman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

Randy will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for biblical study and learning God’s Word, his hardworking hands, his love of music, his joyful spirit, and, most of all, the love he gave so freely to the people around him. His desire to understand Scripture and grow deeper in his faith was an important part of who he was.

Though he is deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that Randy has completed his earthly journey and is now at peace, resting in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
