Priscilla
Bryant-Whitfield
July 15, 1946 – January 22, 2024
Some people walk on this earth for a long time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On January 22, 2024, Priscilla Bryant passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 77 years old. She was a mother, a grandmother, a cousin, a niece, and a friend. To her children, she was a wonderful mother.
A lifelong Ohio native, Priscilla was born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Louise Bryant and Reverand James Bryant, raised in Northern Akron with her siblings.
She had a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. Priscilla worked as a Phlebotomist at Plasma Alliance for 5 years and cleaned offices in downtown Akron. Priscilla also obtained a Medical Assistant degree in the 1980's.
Despite her large family, Priscilla always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. She was always welcoming and opened her home to everyone, whether they were friends or strangers, she didn't hesitate to help them. Throughout the years, Prisilla held gatherings for the family to get together and fellowship with one another. She was a jack of all trades, especially with cooking. She was an active member at Living Stone Apostolic Church where she sang in the choir. Priscilla was a Christian and was deeply rooted in her faith.
While the family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sue Blaster, brothers Joel Bryant and brother Willie Bryant.
Priscilla leaves behind her twin sister, Aquilla Flinn (Bryant), brother Joe Bryant and Suzie Glaster (Bryant), children, Crystal Conrad, Juanita Shager, Melanie Bryant, and Barbara Jean Bryant, her fourteen grandchildren, Amare, Tierra, Skyy, Donte, Terrance, Van Jr., Charles Jr., Ari, Asia, Zenobia, Fredrick, Imzadia, Troy, Jalaysia and four great-grandchildren, Tarynn, Tory, Tyrell and Tremar along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones and friends.
