Phyllis
Beckett
December 23, 1955 – November 17, 2025
Phyllis Jean Beckett gained her wings on November 17, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ruby (nee. Hollis) and Marion Beckett Sr.
Phyllis attended Buchtel High School and was a member of Living Stone Baptist Church as a young girl. She was a protective and amazing mother with a contagious smile who took pride in keeping a clean, pristine home. Phyllis found joy in online shopping, reading heartfelt novels, listening to music, creating arts and crafts, collecting knick-knacks, and cooking her children's favorite dishes. But above all, Phyllis's greatest love and purpose in life was her children and grandchildren. Even when her health started to fail, with her faith in God, she stayed strong and never wavered.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Hollis, Charles Beckett, Michael Beckett, Dennis Beckett, Aaron Beckett, Bernard Beckett, and Marion Jr. Beckett; sisters, Betty Beckett and Alice Beckett; niece, Terry Beckett Mack; nephew, Dion Crawford.
She leaves to forever cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Brandy (Kareem) Beckett; sons, Brian(Calitha) Beckett Sr., Kenneth and Kortney Lindsey; grandchildren, Domnique Boykin, Skyy Roberts, Brieahn Beckett, Brian Beckett Jr., Kyla Lindsey; great granddaughter, Kay'Lonii Stormi McCall; sisters, Annie Hollis-Shelley, Barbara Beckett, Jewel Crawford, Brenda Becket; sisters-in-law, Jane, Joyce, Jackie, and LaDonna Beckett; best friend, Marla Gladman as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
