Patricia A. Wheeler departed from this earthly life on February 7, 2019 at the blessed age of 70, after a long illness surrounded by her family.  She was born in Ferndale, MI on October 10, 1948 to the late Leonard and Dorothy Porter.  She moved to Akron, OH at an early age attending Buchtel High School and remained a resident of Akron. She was the eldest of 10 children and loved to travel.  She had an amazing green-thumb and was a very passionate person who loved to look nice.  She was loved and will be missed by everyone who came in contact with her. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terrence Porter; and ex-husband, Luther James Wheeler, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Anthony (Jennifer) Pickett, Sr., Cedric, Darrell and Tim Pickett;  grand-daughter/daughter, Jessica Jones; brothers, Samuel (Antionette) Pickett, Chuckie (Willie-Ruth) Porter, Leonard ('Trina) Porter, Jr., Douglas (Shauna) Porter and Garland (Shirley) Porter; sisters, Lynette (Frankie) Thompson, Francine (Ronald) Pearson and Felicia (Bernard) Penny; grandchildren, Michael, Christofer, Anthony Jr., Mariah, Rachel, Sade and Daylen; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Doris Garrett Jackson and Sheila Blair.  Homegoing service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, 11:00 AM at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., where the family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service.  Condolences may be sent to 1185 Beardsley Ave., Akron, OH 44301.
