Patricia Ann Byrd-Hale, 62, passed away October 1, 2013 at Kent Health Care Center.  She had been employed at Kent State University in Janitorial Services. Preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her son Garland (LaTara) Byrd; daughter Shakeenah Byrd; sisters Jackie Yancy and Phyliss Oliver; three grandchildren, Xavier, Garland Jr. and Josiah; special cousin Carolyn Salter; best friend Dinah Redding; special friend Beatrice McMillan; other relatives and friends.
