Pamela Jean Stokes departed this life to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the age of 61.  Pam was born October 24, 1955 in Canton, Ohio where she remained for the duration of her life.  She is preceded in death by her son Ernest Stokes; parents, Robert and Rose Stokes; sister, Ruth Stokes.  Pam will be dearly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved her family deeply and enjoyed singing and spending time with family.  Pam was a social butterfly always looking out for someone else.  She enjoyed helping others in need or just giving.  Pam leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters, Gwendolyn (Stokes) Sherrod of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Suquita Abedi (Stokes) of Canton, Ohio; sons, Ernnie, Chandellor, and Quincy Stokes all of Canton, Ohio; (12) grandchildren, and (4) great-grandchildren; special friend, Bruce James of Canton, Ohio. Pamela was the youngest of seven siblings that consist of (2) brothers, (4) sisters. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of family and friends
