Obituary

Pamela J. Rackley, 71, passed away on May 11, 2021. She was born on August 30, 1949 in Barberton, Ohio to William and Mary Rackley. Starting at the age of 8 Pam was raised in the church be her grandmother Skylar Rackley of Mother Smith Church. Pam loved to sing and play with her children, nieces, and nephews. Hide and Seek and tossing coins were a few of her favorites. Western movies was also top on the list.

Pam also really enjoyed gathering with family and friends and making her amazing dressing for all to enjoy. Reading the bible and listening to praise and worship songs was always a part of her daily routine.

Pam worked in the medical field for 32 years between Barberton Hospital and Akron General. She loved taking care of people and being a home helper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth and William Rackley, Sr,; and Yancy Greer.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory, children, Shannon, Laurice, and Lewis Rackley; sisters, Jacqueline Rackley of Dayton, Cynthis Rackley of Stow, Quay Reed of Cuyahoga Falls, and Angela Ross of Garfield Heights; brothers, Lance Rackley of Atlanta, William (Wanda) Rackley of Atlanta, Phillip (Joyce) Rackley of Akron, Gordon Rackley of California, and Steven Rackley of Cleveland; step mother, Vera Rackley; grandchildren, Jasmyne, Pamela, Coty, Nathaniel, Emory, and Mary; great grandchildren, Kor'Rease Hollis Rackley and Kae'Mijah Rackley; aunts, Gertha Boyd of Cleveland, Eleanor of Cleveland, and Linda Brown of Alabama; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
