Orlando Keith Roberson known to his family as Lance and to his friends as "Big O" earned his heavenly wings on March 7, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Ann Roberson and his biological father Darrod Duncan on September 15, 1973. He was raised and cared for by his loving Pops who was by his side until the end.
Orlando attended Akron, Public Schools, playing the saxophone in elementary. A memory that came up was him playing the pink Panther for his younger sister when she was sick. He wrestled in middle school and played football for East High School graduating in 1992. He then went on to Central State for a time before moving back home to work for REM DSP for 30 years. Orlando was an excellent caregiver provider and chef leaving one of his clients asking "Who was going to cook for us now? " He was also the man of the family and well-respected by his friends. O never met a stranger. You will forever be missed the one and only Don Poly.
Orlando is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Mamie and Yumus Roberson; son Da'Vyion Kirksey; uncles Robert (Essie) Robertson, Charles, Leroy Willie, John, and Ray Roberson, aunts Alice and Lula Mae Roberson.
He leaves two mourn his departure from this loving life, Mother Ann Roberson; sister La'Tora Roberson; and Children Devon (Chelsea) Myers and family, Essence L. Roberson; Jasmine Blue; Leon Blue; and Jeriah D. Cermak. Nephew Dametrius Bennett Jr; Niece Dametriona Bennett. Grandchildren Judah Myers; Tailyn, and Tyce Smith; Darnell Bitting Jr; London, and Paris Blue, Great niece Ja'Lani Bennett. Brothers, Joseph Nelson Jr, Rocky Virden, Domonick Holley, Freddie Shephard, and Chris Sanky. Little sister Stephanie Wright, mother of his children Carella Blue, Best friends Angel Stormer and Laura McBride., and a host of other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
