Ollie F. Floyd passed away on August 7, 2021. She was born on May 15, 1923 in Porterville, Miss. Ollie was a member of St. Marks Church. She was a family person and loved her children and grandchildren. Ollie took time with her family to go on trips, visited different colleges that her sons were attending and spent quality time with them shopping and sightseeing. She loved her sisters and brothers and talked about them all the time. She always tried to keep up with all the family reunions.
Ollie loved to travel, and loved shopping for clothes. One of her most noteworthy travels was when she was able to take a Caribbean Cruise. Her favorite hobbies were flowers and cooking. She was always cooking at church functions,
preparing meals and serving people at her home. She was the Church's Hospitality Chairperson, a member of the Usher Board and a member of the Sister's Circle. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary; husband, Robert Floyd; sons, Edward, Ruben and Robert; brothers, Grace, Ben, Jhon Henry, Steve and Aron; sisters, Dorothy Coope, Sallie Williams, Anna , Hattie, Alonia and Emma Richardson.
Ollie leaves memories to Roberta Floyd, Billy, Chuck, David, Tony and Gary; a devoted niece, Marjorie Calhoun and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
