Obituary

Novella Nazareth (Frazier) Donald was born October 14, 1922 in Tennille, Alabama to the late John Frank & Hattie (Recorse) Frazier.   She transitioned from the earthly to heavenly on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. She joined Bethel A.M.E. in Brundidge AL, at an early age. She married the late Rev. Nicholas O Donald, January 28, 1940 and one child was born to this union, Nichola. They moved to Canton, OH in 1951 and she was employed by Aultman Hospital for over 10 years. They joined Bethel C.M.E. church under the pastorate of the late Rev. J.B. Harris. She loved the Lord and served faithfully as a Stewardess, and was conferred as a Stewardess emeritus. She also served as President of the Missionary Society and was a member of the mass choir.  After her husband was called into the ministry she faithfully served with him at several charges. She was an associate member of the Stark County Association of Minister's Wives and Minister's Widows of Ohio. Novella sincerely loved her family and her nieces and nephews were very dear to her. Novella was a very loving and charitable person. She always supported her family as well as many benevolent causes and enjoyed sharing her bounty from her garden. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Novella was preceded in death by her husband; Rev. Nicholas O. Donald, brothers; Charlie (Eula) Frazier, Alto (Rev.Larci Bell) Frazier, Merthy Frazier, Mitchell (Willie Mae) Frazier, Lezone (Cora Bell) Frazier, sister; Delia Ann (Alto) Turner, brother-in-law; William Sanders and son-in-law; David Torrence. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Nichola Torrence of Canton OH; grandchildren; Rolland and Renard Torrence both of Canton OH, Rena (Antoine) Jackson of Keller, TX; David Warthen of Las Vegas, NV; special granddaughter Ann Hendershot; great grandchildren: Travell Hendershot of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Jackson of Killeen TX, Tre' Torrence, Kevonna Torrence, Desiree Hamilton and Devon Eller all of Canton, OH;  one great great grandchild, Jordan Jackson; sister Edna Sanders of Canton, OH as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
