Norma Jean McIlwain Snider, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was born April 13, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to parents Deacon Lee and Edna McIlwain, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of McKinley High School. After graduation she worked at Ohio Bell. She later transferred to Los Angeles, California to work at Pacific Bell. Upon returning to Canton she worked at the Hoover Company. She held various other jobs until her health prevented her from working. Norma was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved to travel and she was known for her stylish dressing. Norma loved the fine things in life. Also preceding her in death were her brothers Edward and Albert McIlwain as well as her former husband Maurice Snider. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Tyronia M. Saulter of Canton, Ohio and son Richard H. Saulter (Romona) of Omaha, Nebraska; brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Diane McIlwain Massey (Bill); six grandchildren, Cureeia A, Zavier, Tyeshia U., Mercedez Thompson, Denzel H. and Anya J. Saulter; four great- grandchildren, Naa'zae, Na'kye A., Ni'rell Springer and Major I. Thompson; special niece Jeaneen McDaniels; special friends, Diane Faniel of California, Lila Bolden and Christine West of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
