Nolan Smith was born on November 28, 1944, to the late William Sr and Ella Smith, Nolan was a lifetime resident of Akron and attended Akron Public Schools. Nolan was nicknamed Bull early in his life due to his extraordinary physical strength. Nolan was strong willed. Nolan was employed by Majestic Trailer and Hitch for many years and worked for Smith Lawn Service a family-owned business and property owner and manager, where he made a significant impact through his hard work and commitment. Outside of his professional life, Nolan enjoyed the outdoor life, hiking walking, swimming, hunting, yard work, and spending countless hours managing properties.
Nolan "Bull" Smith, aged 79, made his Transition to Glory on November 23, 2024. He was a cherished father to two sons and a beloved member of our community. Known for his kind
heart and generous spirit, Nolan touched the lives of many with his warm smile and infectious laughter and knew how to bring great laughter out of others. Nolan was good-natured and a pillar of the community.
Nolan is preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Ella Smith and brothers William T Smith Jr. (Patricia) & Kenneth Smith.
Nolan is survived by his two sons, Nolan Brown and Kenneth Knight, brothers Edward (Mary) Smith and Alvin (Sharon) Smith. A host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, special niece Rachael Smith, friend Brigitte Barnes, longtime friend Nabeeah Waheed. His legacy of kindness and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A memorial service to celebrate Nolan's life will be held on December 6, 2024, at Arlington Church of God, Pastor Kevin Goode officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 11am until time of service Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to 6330 Caribou Drive Clinton, Ohio 44216.
Rest in peace, Nolan. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
