Mother Elizabeth Felton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday,  December 16, 2018.  She was born on April 13, 1931, to William T. Tharp and Lola M.. McDonald Tharp.  Mother Felton was a life long residence of Canton.  At an  early age, Mother Felton joined Antioch Baptist Church.  She served on the  Deaconness Board.  In her later years, Mother Felton joined Abundant Faith Church in Barberton, Ohio where she served on the Mother's Board.  Mother Felton attended Canton McKinley High School; was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing.  Mother Felton had a strong work ethic.  She worked as a licensed cosmetologist, a licensed practical nurse and retired from S.C. Pediatrics in early 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents, William T. and Lola M. Tharp; brother, Samel L. (Betty) Tharp; sister, Mattie M. (Edward) Smart; (3) loving husbands, Albert Tyrus, Clarence Sullivan, Alonzo Felton.Mother Felton's legacy will be in those she leaves to cherish her memory; brother, Willie L. Tharp; daughters, Tanya M. (Darnell, deceased) Johnson; Karen (Willie) Roberts all of Canton; Lisa (Jude C.) Nugent of Maryland; (6) grandchildren, Carla King of Illinois, Tyrone (Raquel) Roberts of Canton, Elder Leland (Elder LaSharra) Johnson of Akron, Tiffany (RS) Richardson III of Canton, Christopher Nugent and Liam Nugent of Maryland; (13) great-grandchildren; (5) step-children. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
