In Loving Memory of Monique I. Edwards

With profound sadness and unwavering faith, we celebrate the life of Monique I. Edwards, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Surrounded by love, Monique passed away peacefully in her sleep after a wonderful season filled with laughter, fellowship, and cherished memories. While our hearts grieve, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

Her Life and Legacy
Monique was born on August 17, 1961, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Dorothy and Bernard Edwards. She grew up in Akron, graduating from Central-Hower High School in 1979. A vibrant student, she participated in cross country, the Upward Bound Program, and the South High Marching Band. She later attended Spelman College, fostering a lifelong love for learning.
Those who knew Monique will remember her laughter, her caring heart, her unwavering loyalty, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She found joy in life's simple moments, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, faith, and family.

Family Ties
Monique was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerome Ricardo Delaney.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
• Her Siblings: Lory Edwards, Jamille Stephens, Karriem (Alexis) Edwards, D'Anthony (Hollie) Harvey, and Kellie Edwards.
• Her Sister-Cousin: Schlaun Marina.
• Her Aunts & Uncle: Alberta Webb, Nadine Edwards, Zerry Smith, and Leon Webb.
• Nieces & Nephews: Demetrius, Lavon, Johnson III, Tamar, Malachi, Aliyah, Aiden, Iaunna, and Shilah, alongside a beautiful generation of great-    nieces and great-nephews.
• Her Community: Lifelong friends from the Noah Ave., Diana Ave., and Summit Lake neighborhoods.
