Minnie Jean James , age 74, departed this earthly life to be with her Heavenly Father on March 24, 2021.

Minnie was born in the city of Akron, OH on January 30, 1947. She graduated from Central-Hower High School in 1965. Minnie enjoyed reading, movies, music, concerts, bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Edward James; mother, Myrtle Lee James; sisters, Joyce Williams and Mary (Glenn) Chambers; brother, Aubrey (Gerri) Williams; son, Jewell Jerome James and her favorite cousin, Anna Mae McDonald.

She was survived by her son, Timothy Edward James; daughter, Torri Parson; son-in-law, Herman Parson; sisters, Crystal James and Darlene James; brothers, Calvin Roberts and Carl Roberts; Grand-daughters, Shaniqua Benford and ShaNiyah Parson; Grandsons, Deva'Nair McKinstry, Elijah James, Rashard James, Armond Parson, Lee 'Shaun Parson, Javion James; Great- Granddaughter, A'lani McKinstry, and a host of other special relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where condolences may be sent to the family.
