February 1, 1930 – June 26, 2022
Minnie L. Brown was born on February 1,1930 in Luverne, Alabama to the late Narve Dean and Herbert Allen. She departed her earthly home on Sunday, June 26, 2022. She married Elmer Brown and to this union 4 children were born. Nana, as she was affectionally called, touched so many people lives with her kindness, her strength, her smile but most of all her belief in God. She was always so kind, upbeat and had an encouraging word. If you knew her…. you were blessed.
She lived in Akron for over 50 year and most of her life worked as a Home Health Aid and/or a Nursing Assistant. She attended Antioch Baptist Church and belonged to the Matthew Group, a club that would meet once a month to discuss things they could do to help the church. She later moved her membership to Deliverance Tabernacle under the leadership of Pastor William Epps.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elmer Brown, Sr.; daughters, Eleanor L. Brown and Jettie Sue Brown, granddaughter LaShondra Brown and grandson, Earl Brown, Jr. She leaves to cherish precious memories, daughter, Barbara A. Brown (Johnny C. Bable); son Elmer Brown Jr., other people whom she called her other children, George Reese, Mckoy Kendrick, Denise Wood and Beverylon Payne. Grandchildren; Karl Welch, Marlon Brown, Johnny Brown, Earl Brown, Elmer Brown, Marcus Brown, Marcell Brown, Tameka Burros, Janette Brown, Marquita Thompson and Joy Gilbert. Great grandchildren; Johnny Brown Jr., Devine Brown, Marlisha Brown, Johntelle Brown, Dilhan Brown, Kash Brown, Marlon Brown Jr., Havann Brown, Lashondra Brown, Earl Brown, Martinque Tucker, very special cousin Kendretta Watson-Richards, special daughter Margaret Ramsey and a host of other family and friends.
