Minister Kavetta Josephine Freese's Obituary

KAVETTA JOSEPHINE FREESE, 70, passed this life on Thursday, February 15, 2024.  She was born on June 19, 1953, in Canton, Ohio to Shirley Edwards and Ira SnellJr. Her mother later met and married Robert Earl Williams Sr. and together they raised Kavetta along with her threebrothers and one sister.

Min. Kavetta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of nine in Antioch Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Reverend W. C. Henderson. She ascended to leadership early as a member of the young adult choir and as an AWANA Youth Ministry Leader.

Kavetta married Keith Freese on March 29, 1997, and they have faithfully served the Lord under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. (Greater St. Stephens Church, New Orleans, LA), Bishop Larry D. Trotter (Sweet Holy Spirit Church, Chicago, IL) who in 2004 sanctioned Women Hallowed In Prayer (W.H.I.P.) as a para ministryand lastly Pastor David Blunt (Church on the Rock, St. Louis, MO).

Min. Freese began the W.H.I.P. ministry by assisting women in the redesign of their outer image.  W.H.I.P. is a vehicle of encouragement for women as they allow God to redesign their image from the inside out.

Kavetta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earl and Shirley Williams Sr.; great grandson, Sevonĕ Ali Brunson; and cousins Clarence E. Williams Jr. and Robert Booth.
