Milton "Sonny Boy" Hardaway Sr.  (89) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12th, 2024.  Sonny Boy was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 22nd, 1934, to John Henry Hardaway and Della (Parks) Hardaway. Sonny Boy and the family eventually moved to Akron Ohio. Sonny Boy was a faithful former member of the Antioch Baptist Church, and eventually attended Hills Temple. Sonny Boy was a hard worker he always kept a job. He worked in several professions in welding, and he worked for many years at Falls Stamping, and later retiring from Akron Tractor.

Sonny Boy loved eating wild meat, where you could always get him in the mood for some deer meat, rabbit, or some good ole Barbecue. Sonny Boy was a sharp dresser he had to have a crease in his clothes. Sonny Boy loved cologne where Cool Water and Joop were his favorites. Sonny Boy loved music with Luther Vandross being one of his favorites. Sonny Boy was very family oriented and would always attend family gatherings. Milton will be missed sorely as his memory will live on through the lives of all those who loved him.

Sonny Boy was preceded in death by his parents: John and Della Hardaway. His siblings: Inez, Edward, Lovett, John Nathan, Armstead, Addie, Anniebelle, and Glanton. He is survived by daughters: Paulette (Marcus) Moore, Deborah (John) McClendon, and Minister Octavia Hardaway. Sons: Quincy, and Milton Hardaway Jr all of Akron, Ohio. Grandchildren: Tobian (Tina) Richerson, Lakisha Moore, Julius Moore, Ashley Moore, Da'Liyah Morrow, Milliona Hardaway, and Major Hardaway. Great Grandchildren: Tatyana Tolbert, Emil Richerson, La'Mont Vinson Jr, Tobian Richerson Jr, and Corday Woolridge, and Mayson Moore.  One Great-Great Grandchild: Ryelle Oden. As well as a host of other family members and friends.
