Michelle Dana McDew was born September 5th, 1973 in Canton, Oh to the late Christine Ann Leighton and Mark Edward McDew. She accepted Christ and was a member of Faith Family Church in Canton, Ohio. She also attended Jesus Speaks Christian Center.

Michelle attended Timken Sr. High school, but would go on to receive her GED later in life. She attended Stark State College where she was studying business. Michelle had a love for gardening and worked with the Enrichment Program ran by Betty Smith.

Gardening was her way of bringing people together and it was also very therapeutic for her.

Michelle was a conduit of friendship and touched many lives. Her nurturing spirit made her a confidante and advisor. She had endless love and support for her family and friends. If you ever met Michelle, you loved her.

Michelle was also the life of the party.  With her outgoing and spontaneous personality, she'd bring joy to any event. She had a spunky attitude with a beautiful smile.

Michelle is preceded in death by her mother, Christine Leighton. She is survived by her father Mark Edward McDew Sr; Son's Airis McDew, Junx Glenn; Daughters Haillie Glenn, Janiah Glenn; Brother's Mark Edward McDew Jr, Phillip(Amber)Douglas, and to many half brothers and sisters to name; Grandson Jusario "JuJu" Glenn, fiancé Virgil West, a host of relatives and friends and her two favorite dogs "Tank and Sniper"
