Michael Eric Grant, age 65, was born in Canton, Ohio whose spirit was too grand to continue in this earthly vessel. He was born to the late Abraham and Ora Grant. He is preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Ora, his brother Gary Grant and special uncle Bazzel Spencer. A graduate of McKinley Senior High School and a devoted employee of Diebold, Kent State Stark Campus and Detroit Diesel/Daimler Chrysler where he retired after over 28 years and made many special friends. He is survived by the love of his life of over 40 years Kimberly Grant, his children whom he treasured, Iman (Timothy) Walls and Michael II of Canton, Ohio and they treasured him. His memory will be cherished by his siblings Abraham Grant III, Patricia Grant, Rita Royer, nephew/brother Kris Dykes, his special cousin Steve Hubbard and best friend Eddie Smith. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly. A photographer who saw the world through a Canon lens, who enjoyed coaching and playing sports particularly volleyball and softball. He was a great carpenter who loved remodeling things as it was therapeutic for him. He loved guns but not violence and he loved to hit the highway to visit family near and far through rain, sleet or snow. With a personality that always drew a crowd, who's never met a stranger, he was a wonderful spirit who did many acts of kindness. Many say "to know him was to love him". He was truly an example of God's love, goodness and mercy. He knew everyone's birthdate, license plate and house number as he had played all of  those numbers at one point in time. He was a lover of music, loved hand dancing and tinkered with the bass guitar. He loved jewelry, especially watches and was a car enthusiast, old school and new. He implemented and instilled a tradition of pizza Friday's often enjoyed with a very extensive movie collection. He loved to laugh, but was a very serious card player. He brought lots of joy and laughter. Truly a man of love and he was simply the best.
