Melvin Anderson, Jr. Melvin D. Anderson, Jr., 58, went home to be with the Lord. He fought a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and lost the battle to lung cancer on Oct. 30, 2015. Melvin graduated from Cardinal Mooney Class of 1974 when they won the State Championship in football. After high school Melvin attended Hiram College, he was a prankster and he loved music and running. He will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Anderson; brother Rodney Anderson; grandmothers, Lucille Turner and Mattie Anderson; great– grandmother Willie Bell Dukes; and grandfather, Rev. D.H. Anderson. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his father, Melvin (Linda) Anderson, Sr.  of Urichsville, Ohio; daughters, LaKeisha Harden of Columbus, Ohio, Melissa Harvey of Virginia; sister, Pamela (Donald) Jordan of Wylie Texas; step-sister, Jennifer (Matt) Svec of Medina, Ohio; mother of his children Debra Harvey; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
