Melody Yvette (Berkley) Grant, 63 of Akron, Ohio passed away on May 5, 2026, surrounded by family. 

Melody was born on December 10, 1962, in Akron, Ohio to Serita (Berkley) Robinson and Dorlan Vaughn.

She graduated from Central Hower High School in 1981 and married her high school sweetheart Bryant (B Love) Grant. After graduation she was accepted into Hower Fur Business to become an executive assistant. 

She is survived by her mother Serita (Robert) Robinson; spouse, Bryant (B Love) Grant; sister, Mia Heard; children, Daysha (Brandon) Payne, Deneisha (Dwayne) Jackson, and Bryant J. Grant; grandchildren, JaiQuan, Travon, and Brylee; bonus grandchildren, Niejha, Zanaya, Brandon, Zuri, Elijah, Amina, and Melody; (2) great bonus grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. 

She loved and was loved by all. She had a great heart and would never say no; she was always there when you needed her.
