Mattie L. Brown was born on May 7, 1945 in Yantley, Alabama. She was a resident of Akron for over 60 years.

Mattie was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her dad, Jerry Brown; mother, Mamie Taylor; sisters, Louisa Walker, Lily Foster, Mamie Spidell, Penny Moore, Carrie Brown and Mary Brown; brothers, James T. (Joanne) Brown, Jerry (Tisha) Brown, Willie (Beulah) Brown, Jimmy Brown, Hubert Brown, Tommy Brown, William T. (Emma) Brown and Charles (Carrie) Brown.

She leaves to mourn her son, Tracy (Vanessa) Brown, Sr.; daughter, Tara Brown both of Akron; grandchildren, Tracy (Teriese) Brown, Jr. of Canton, Traynell (Champagne) Brown, Trayvon Brown, Tamarah Harper and Teeshawn Brown all of Akron; great grandchildren, Harmonni Brown, Alayna Brown, Aiyana Brown, Heaven Brown and Tamaya Brown all of Akron; and a host of other relatives and friends.
